The Ryan Plan at least attempts to get the budget deficit under control, something the President hasn’t done in any serious fashion. When Ryan unveiled his plan, he said: “This is a starting point for the conversation, not the ending point.” He put it forward, and should be commended for doing it. One side note, the Ryan Budget Plan, in its original form, didn’t balance the budget for, depending on whom you ask, roughly 18 years. We should have an agreed rule that no plan which takes a generation to balance the budget should EVER be called ” radical” or “extreme!” lol Now if you want “radical,” then Ron Paul’s plan to balance it in one year might be closer imo!
Ryan has repeatedly voted in favor of the very specific measures that CAUSED the deficit. His credibility is not high.
