Earthquake coverage left me shaken

The earth shook. Buildings emptied. Evacuated people milled about on city streets.

The cable news networks went live with the story almost immediately.The 5.9-magnitude quake had its epicenter in Mineral, Virginia, about 40 miles to the southwest of Fredericksburg, in the central part of the state.
