Horrible things said and done by Donald and his minions in October 2017

In October, Donald’s EPA director, Scott Pruitt, turned the EPA into an agency dedicated to the destruction of the environment and of public health. The Administration gave churches a blank check to preach politics from the pulpit. Donald continued issuing threats against North Korea and the media, all while ignoring Puerto Rico’s ongoing problems recovering from Hurricane Maria.

Donald increased the number and vehemence of his attacks on immigrants. He reneged on an agreement with Democrats to provide a way for Dreamers to stay in the US legally. He increased the number of private prisons along the southern border in order to hold more undocumented immigrants prior to deportation. He demanded that immigrants “assimilate” or not even bother applying to come to the US. He started requiring all H1B visa holders be rechecked annually, adding a huge administrative burden to the State Department – while simultaneously cutting resources for the State Department to perform these checks.

And worst of all, Donald’s Administration refused to allow a 17-year old minor get an abortion even though she was fleeing abusive parents in her home country, and the Border Patrol arrested an undocumented girl with cerebral palsy, removing her from the hospital shortly after surgery and separated her from her parents.

As bad as September and August were (Puerto Rico and Charlottesville, respectively), October was worse.
