Duck prints in the mud? Or geese?
Frick – those are DINOSAUR TRACKS! RUN, LISA!
They looked to be primarily geese with a mixture of raccoon and other small mammals scattered in. That part of the river has been hot with all kinds of little animals this winter, which has attracted a couple of really beautiful Rough-Legged Hawks that migrated down. We’ve also had a large influx of Snowy Owls in the area, but unfortunately I’ve not been lucky enough to see one.
