1. Provocative and accurate. Cuba is an amazing first world country in third world poverty. When the reigns of the Castro brothers finally end, it is a country and a people ready to charge into the 21st Century.

   • It’s ready now – US policy toward Cuba is one of the most enduringly corrupt stains on our national character and it should have been changed decades ago.

     Cuba’s communism poses no threat whatsoever to America, and if we truly believe we have a better way of doing things nothing would effect reform in Cuba faster than an open relationship with the US. That we play church lady with them while bestowing most favored nation status on countries like China tells you a great deal about our nation, and what it tells you isn’t good.
