  1. No doubt, terrible headline writing…or hilarious, depending on how you look at it.

But the story under the headline is, possibly, disconcerting. Clearly someone is lying and the question is who? I’ve been through Schiphol many times and the security (even pre 9/11) always seemed like some of the best in the world. So here we have someone suggesting that Muttalab had help from someone. The same passenger also says that a second person was arrested when the flight landed. And now a passenger from Wisconsin is saying that there was a passenger who videotaped it all and seemed quite calm.

This Detroit lawyer might just be looking for the spotlight and making shit up that resembles what he’s read in Tom Clancy novels; that’s a distinct possibility. On the other hand, the bumbling nature of this whole story and the timing (health care bill, Freddie & Fannie slush fund) is a little suspicious.
