Sam,
How about filling in the rest of the dang brackets.
Hee hee hee….
Hello, are comments working? The last two or three I’ve left aren’t on here.
Hmmm. I don’t see the comments in the queue and they’re not in spam, either. Let me ask Brian to check.
I went with The Boss, as I always will. The guy’s the unofficial poet laureate of my native New Jersey (the only person in the discussion, IMO, is Walt Whitman), and he’s among the top lyric writers of the Tournament of Rock era. BruuuUUUUUUUUUUCE!
Poet? Please. Great storyteller and lyricist, yes. But hardly a poet.
Oh, wait – this is Jersey we’re talking about? Never mind…. 🙂
You’re just jealous cuz the best hoagies in the world are in Jersey. All you got in Colorado is your lousy Subway crap. Pththththththt…
Hey, we got Snarfs and Deli Zone. They may not be NYC deli sandwiches, but they’re both darn good.
As far as the artists go, I have to put Springsteen over the Who by a tiny amount, even though The Who (perhaps arguably) created the rock opera and epic rock like what Rush used to do ages ago. Springsteen was just too much of my youth for me to vote against him.
This was easy, went with The Who. It’s actually not even close for me. Bruce can write all the “poetry” in the world, but he can’t rock the 3 chords in Baba O’Reilly like The Who can.
