Yummy!
Just how lucky is S&R to have a photographer like this?
They were yummy too!
Thank you Russ, your words are very kind.
Beautiful photography and sheer deliciousness.
Thanks Lex, secret ingredient in anything I bake with blackberries is cinnamon.
It’s the season here to wander out and pick them like crazy–they’re all over the place–and then shoot home and cook something. So some recipes from this week’s Independent can be found here..
wufnik – I copied down the recipe for blackberry honey polenta cake… that sounds just wonderful. Thanks for the link!
You’re welcome! My wife cut them out too. And just to keep you busy, here are some Blackberry Muscovado shortcakes from Nigel Slater.
Wufnik – remarkable! I loved Nigel’s description of the second Sunday meal. Spot on. Sunday meal is such a wonderful thing, and we just don’t “do” that meal here in the States. Brunch is just not the same thing. Basil and Summer Squash with cracked olives is a keeper recipe too. Thanks.
