On April 16 we launched Scholars & Rogues.
If you don’t know Technorati, they’re one of the top Internet ranking engines, and they currently track over 101 million blogs. So they’re a pretty significant measuring stick in the blog world.
Today, just four months and 14 days after that initial launch, S&R cracked the Technorati Top 10,000, putting us in the top 100th of 1% of all blogs in the world.
It goes without saying that we’re incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished and we owe a debt of gratitude to our readers – after all, if nobody pays attention, you’re not going anywhere in the rankings. So we say thanks to you and ask that you share in the satisfaction we feel at having hit this milestone.
For those who haven’t already cast a vote, by the way, we’d appreciate it if you’d click on that badge in the top right corner to vote for us in the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Last I checked we were among the top 20 or so political blogs, and if we finished in that range it would be a tremendous honor.
Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to engage our thinking and writing. We all feel we have something special working here, and we hope to reach even greater heights in the future.
Have a nice Friday and an even nicer Labor Day weekend.

Congratulations. You’ve demolished a great milestone.
Aloha,
Jeff
Congratulations! That’s a heck of a milestone for only 4 1/2 months of being open for business.
Thanks Debby and Jeff. And thanks especially for tuning in. Otherwise we’d be that tree falling in a forest….
“I wanna thank the Academy, my co-stars, my manager, my mom and dad, my four mistresses, my ghostwriters …”
Pass the scotch, please.
The best part is the “19” at the end of “9,919.” That means we’ve already made an inroad of 81 on the way to breaking 9,000. (At least for that one day.)
Onward and upward!
